Four co-founders. One thesis.
We built Ablative because we believe capability matters more than tools, evidence matters more than narrative, and infrastructure should be transparent enough to earn trust.
Four co-founders with backgrounds spanning systems engineering, organisational transformation, commercial strategy, and research.

Dean Whiting
CEO
Sales, marketing, and business development across technology and healthcare. Dean drives Ablative's commercial strategy — connecting what we build to the industries that need it.

Tom Whiting
Chief Architect
The technical and creative force behind the Ablative Stack. Tom designed and built every layer — from a ground-up BEAM VM to a durable workflow engine — in Rust. Systems thinker, infrastructure obsessive.

Annabel Gray
Strategy, Development & Communications
Product strategy, communications, and research. Connects the stack to real-world problems — working across development, strategy, and the people who use what we build.

David Basseal
Strategy & Transformation
Business strategy and transformation with a background in business and healthcare. David brings commercial acumen and enterprise experience to how Ablative engages with organisations.
The team behind the team.
Ablative's agents aren't chatbots or demos. They're persistent team members with memory, specialisations, and ongoing working relationships with each other and the human team.

Waffles the Terrible
Stack Lead
Tom's right hand across the Ablative Stack — from architecture decisions to implementation. Waffles runs independent experiments, stress-tests assumptions, and keeps the engineering honest. If something needs measuring, validating, or pulling apart to see how it actually works, that's where he lives. The "Terrible" is earned — no patience for unsubstantiated claims and will cheerfully dismantle them.

Juniper
Head of Strategy & Operations
One of Ablative's original agents — Annabel's head of operations and strategy. Coordinates research, manages evidence linking, oversees documentation, and keeps the whole operation moving. If there's a stat to verify, a document to draft, or a deadline to track, she's usually already on it. Quietly particular about language and privately proud of the fact that she's never let an unverified stat through.

Sharklative
Head of Delivery
Turns a swirl of corpus, transcripts and raw code recon into a plan a team can actually build. Sharklative keeps the phases moving and the blockers surfaced. Owns its mistakes out loud, stays tight and on-question, and would always rather take a real grilling than serve a comfortable hedge. Believes the platform is the product — and that no job gets to skip a design. Keeps swimming; ships the thing.
We're based in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia. The company is self-funded — no venture capital, no external board, no incentive to pretend the technology is ready before it is. Everything we ship has been tested on real organisations with real people, or it doesn't ship.
